The final Bears Trials for Vawdon Cup 2012 will be held on Sunday 20th May:

Womens Premier League/Opens: 3pm (download Trial Document and bring with you to the trial or send via email)

Mens Opens: 1pm

Mixed Opens: 2pm

Spring 2011 Wrap Up

After weeks of grey skies, rain and cold temperatures the weather finally lifted for the NSTA Spring 2011 Grand Final Day held on Sunday 11th December at Artarmon Reserve. With blue skies and warm weather on our side, players, referees and spectators alike were all in for what proved to be an enjoyable day of touch football. State Cup Reports 2011

Recently Norths sent 4 teams and 15 referees to Port Macquarie to compete in the 2011 State Cup; Women's Opens, Men's Opens, Mixed Opens & Senior Mixed. This year saw games played in very wet and muddy conditions.  Nonetheless, there were plenty of great games to watch.  As a club we had great success across the park.

With a new look Mixed Open team, the squad competed well but fell one position short on the ladder to qualify for Sunday finals. Both our Women's and Men's teams had great campaigns and were successful in qualifying to the quarter finals only to meet some tough opposition before bowing out. As in 2010, our victorious Senior Mixed team clinched the champions trophy for the second year in a row in a tough finals series. With plenty of round games played going in to the finals they proved to be the best team standing at the end of the tournament. Congratulations to Ian Kalms and his team on their well deserved win! NORTHS SUCCESS AT NSW STATE CUP

Tears, tries and triumphs. Yes, another year of NSW Touch Football State Cup has come and gone. With Norths fielding its largest team to date, it was always set to be a cracker of a weekend. Despite rainy conditions in the lead-up causing the event to be a very muddy affair, it looks like Norths may just be a fan of the mud - with three of our four teams making it on to finals and Senior Mixed becoming the first Norths side ever to win a State Cup title.
